Life Ticks

Somewhere in the day, I get lost.  You would think that in 24 hours a person could stay focused.  Really, it is a 16 hour day if you sleep 8 hours.  Then take away an hour for shower and primping, leaves you with 15 hours, then remove another 3 hours for cooking, eating and cleaning up the mess, you are now at 12 hours.  Subtract the other things you do in the bathroom and that leaves you with an 11 hour day. Take your children to and from school and your down to 10 hours per day. Wash, dry and fold a couple of loads of clothes, another hour gone.  Homework and a snack with your child, 30 minutes to an hour depending on their focus.  Now at 8.5, stop by the grocery and an easy hour is gone, 7.5 now.  Answer the phone and talk to family another hour gone, 6.5 hours left to do everything I need to do.  Listen to your child do their piano practice for 30 minutes, I am at 6 now.  Fix husband's lunch and empty dishwasher, I am 5.5 now.  Read the paper and clip coupons, 5 hours left.  Hug your family throughout the day, subtract 15 minutes.  Dump scraps and feed animals, another 15 minutes, 4.5 left.  Vacuum the floors, make the beds and clean the bathrooms, 1.5 hours gone.  3 left for the day, run errands for an hour, down to 2.  Watch my favorite show for 30 minutes, 1.5, computer time for 30 minutes, 1 hour left play with your family for an hour, not time left.  Oh wonder I get lost!  Tick, tick, tick, life just ticked away...make the most of it!
